| 779444 | 2009-06-03 10:24:00 | Can't install Vista SP2 or IE8 without getting this error. Have tried turning everything off like anti-virus, same error. Have cleared temp files and have defrag run, same error. Still looking for possible ways to overcome this. |

Open up cmd as admin then go sfc /scannow Then try performing chkdsk /f Look in event viewer(Run>eventvwr) for clues on what may be corrupted. For this (www.microsoft.com) guy, GlobalInstallOrder.xml was corrupted and he just replaced, so that may fix it, but its probably a different file Blam |
