| 779421 | 2009-06-03 05:50:00 | Dear Sir / Madam I have xp professional sp3. when I receive pdf file as a email, and try to open and read it, error comes up and saying adobe acrobat reader can open the file,reinstall might solve the problem.(something like that) So I went to Adobe site and downloaded new version of 9.1. But problem still did not go away. So, I did uninstall all AAR(Adobe acrobat reader 9.1 only) because 8.1.3 version wasn't exist in the uninstall program. After searching for it, I able to find in the Adobe photo shop cs3 program. But uninstalling was a challenge.I couldn't succeed it. From registry, I delete all the entry and left only 9.1 version After restart the computer,if I attempt to open any files from desk top, Installing Adobe acrobat 8.1.3 pops up. I let it go to install but it wont complete. Than I uninstall all Adobe acrobat reader from my computer, than install the new version only and did update patch as well but this, installing AAR 8.1.3 it wont stop to pop up. Basically I can not get rid of this pop up at all. If I wanted to open pdf file, instead of new version of AAR to take over still old version takes control and error. Old version not exist any longer in my computer according to my registry. Is there any solution for it to get rid of this problem? Best regards Sabastian Bali / Indonesia |

| 779423 | 2009-06-03 07:23:00 | Right Click it>Open With>Select Adobe Reader 9.1, or if its not there should be in "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe" And I wouldn't fiddle with your registry. I suggest you system restore back to when you hadn't touched it, then use something like revo uninstaller to remove it. www.revouninstaller.com Blam |
