779015 2009-06-02 05:37:00 Hi
Can someone please guide me. If I have a Blue ray burner in the computer and burn a blank Blue ray disc will that dvd run in any normal DVD player or does it have to be special Blue Ray DVD player only?
Thanks

779017 2009-06-02 05:46:00 Sorry I didn't get what the "No" was for?
1. Will the blue ray dvd run in any normal DVD player?
2. Or does it have to be special Blue Ray DVD player only?
Thanks

779018 2009-06-02 05:46:00 ...to elaborate on that, you need a blu-ray player to play it. Your blu-ray player would play normal DVDs too, but a normal DVD player would definiltey not play blu-ray.

Also, you'd want a TV/monitor that displayed a minimum resolution of 1366x768, preferably 1920x1080 to make the whole lot worth while, that's if you're bunring HD content.

779020 2009-06-02 06:30:00 If you burn a Blu-Ray disc you need a Blu-Ray capable device to play it back

If you burn a normal DVD with the Blu-Ray drive you can play it in any DVD player (as long as you encoded it properly!)
