779002 2009-06-02 04:27:00 I have a computer that I am looking at that switches itself on whenever the Ctrl button is pressed on the keyboard.

The previous user set it up this way because the main body of the computer is under the desk, have to bend down to switch it on otherwise.

The latest user does not want this.

o/s is Win2K, where do I find place to change this behaviour back to the usual switch on when power button is pushed.

Leaving job now will be back with answer tomorrow if you guys can give it to me.

779003 2009-06-02 04:33:00 Probably in the BIOS if its an ASUS system. Altho most ASUS mobos can be turned on by pressing any key, not just the ctrl key. Look under power menu / APM config, in the BIOS. It usually works with a PS/2 kb, but not a USB one Speedy Gonzales (78)
