| 619836 | 2007-12-14 08:23:00 | Hey I'm open to game swaps. But right now I'm beginning to think I may have a hardware fault. I re-installed COD2 because the COd4 demo got me in the mood, and BAM! - same bizzarre display glitches I was getting with the Crysis demo. Triangles appearing, lines of pixels streaming out, that kind of thing. IU've updated to the latest DX9c release and the latest Forceware without fixing it and COD2 never gave me any troubles on my older cards so maybe this 79800 GT has a fault? |

Bruce, if you have updated your Nvidia driver, it is a good idea to properly remove the old one - a good guide can be found under "Old driver removal" - here (www.tweakguides.com). Also, run 3DMark06 if you have it and it will show artifacting especially in the forest scene or the "Arctic Freeze" - (3DMark06 is a large download, so if you don't have it, download ATI Tool from here. (www.techpowerup.com) ) Run the "check for artifacts" tool and it will generally show up artifacting pretty quickly. If you get artifacts with these tools then it does suggest that it's not simply a problem with a game. |

| 619843 | 2007-12-15 10:34:00 | Well, I have been playing "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" since Wednesday. I didn't really have high hopes for it after Call of Duty 2 - boy was I wrong! I am probably enjoying it more than any other game I have bought this year. I am playing it on the "hardened" difficulty setting - so that it takes me longer to finish. Up to the end part (I think) of the "All Ghillied Up" level. And it looks so damned good! |

| 619845 | 2007-12-15 19:18:00 | Yeah, all the reviews I read about CoD4 said it was quite short - which is why I decided to play it on a difficult setting so that it takes me longer. Hopefully there'll be some expansion packs. |
