"Bugger off winmacguy . You are a pain in the *rse who just doesn't know when to stop your product pushing . " :yuck:

Ken

I reckon!

We aren't allowed to promote our own businesses on here so what's the difference?

619114 2007-12-09 01:28:00 Winmacguy - what makes this thread not spam or an advertising message?

Just responding to a comment actually.

No you're not . You're spamming the forum . It's in the tone that you use in your posts about Apple - the marketing-speak you use - "Have you heard about an exciting new range of skincare products? Here's a great link! It really is a brilliant skincare solution and it's selling really well and gets great reviews in the magazines! Here's a link!"

That sort of thing .

Actually I posted the links to the article so that you can read it for yourself (if you want to). The article that this chat thread relates to is from the Australian PC Authority's "Best Product of 2007" as voted by over 14,000 Australian PC Authority readers who one assumes would mostly be PC users?? I posted the article in NZ PCWorld forum chat rooms. Is that illegal?

However if this was a forum about skin care products which forum readers liked to use then I wouldn't see anything wrong with posting a review about a skin care product that had the highest votes from users with a link to the article so that you can decide for yourself.

Same goes for PF1 members discussing the best rated graphics cards based on their experiences - its the same thing.

Rubbish, you are a fool to yourself if you believe this . You and I joined the same month - December last year . Since then you have averaged nearly 14 posts a day . Most of them are just spam . It is just advertising a product or criticising another . Makes for pretty boring reading and annoys the hell out of me . (Possibly others as well . )

You have screwed up so many decent discussions in that time . And then you wonder why you p*iss people off . You need professional :help:

619120 2007-12-09 03:10:00 I knew a guy like you WMG in school. He loved to make people mad by goading them. He'd never be violent himself, but he could talk other people into a rage. I nearly knocked his block off once and had to be restrained. He laughed hard, because he'd got what he wanted. And if you challenged him on his behaviour he could rattle of a long list if things he "hadn't" done, so that on paper he looked as clean as the driven snow. It amused him to cause other people to loose their cool. I guess he felt it granted him some kind of superiority. But there's nothing superior about deliberately setting out to inflame others. It's a cheap thrill and a hollow victory. Biggles (121)

So how long is the ban for this time?
