2007-12-13 09:32:00 | Am I hearing correctly? someone wants to buy a game? when we have bittorrent? Nah but seriously... COD4 and Bioshock are great, though you may prefer COD4 because you don't have to **** around with plasmids and whatever... Haven't got crysis yet, need to upgrade first :(

2007-12-13 20:06:00 | Played the Crysis demo last night. It was good, still got to explore its possibilities. Had video issues with both COD4 and Crysis demos. COD4 kept hanging on me unless I ran in low-res safe mode (to think we once though 800x600 was "high-res"), and I had weird display artifacts in Crysis - pillars of pixels towering to the sky and dead Koreans with elf ears. But other than that the environment is certainly very cool, although I could wish for less body armour on the enemies and better sights on my default high-tech rifle.

2007-12-13 20:38:00 | the demo isn't really a 'demo' of the game itsself, runs more like a beta tbh . Difficulty, glitching and general ease of gameplay has been fixed in the final version . Having said that, I can think of 3 games I would buy before i picked up Crysis . (cod4, Bioshock, orange box)

2007-12-13 20:50:00 | COD4, Bioshock and Crysis demo all ran fine on my system, although obviously the crysis demo lagged a lot if run on anything higher than medium detail, an even then I was pushing it. Still, the difference in graphic quality between low and medium was amazing, I can't wait until I have 2 Geforce 9s in SLI.... (dream on)

Have you got the latest video drivers and direct x updates? I remember when I first ran battlefield 2, I got major graphics problems because my video drivers weren't the very latest |

2007-12-13 20:58:00 | I'm using the 2nd latest Forceware - went to download the latest last night but my net connection was crawling - was going to take 20 minutes just to suck down the Forceware driver. Bah! So I'm going to grab the latest PCW disc. My DirectX 9c should be the latest but I'll grab the latest to make sure. | Biggles (121) | |
2007-12-13 21:03:00 | I'm running forceware 163.71 here, don't know if it's the latest. and MS just released a new DX update in november

2007-12-13 21:11:00 | That's what I've got. 163.75 (Nov 6) is the latest. Might well be my DirectX at fault then. | Biggles (121) | |
