Only downside to COD4 is that the single player campaign is very short and should be doable in a couple of evenings for most gamers, but it will probably be two of the best gaming evenings you could have. | Pete O'Neil (6584) | ||

2007-12-10 05:29:00 | Crysis gets my vote. Haven't played the other two nominees, though. But Crysis is the very first FPS game I've played that have had been replayed 5 times by me. I enjoyed STALKER and a couple of others, but I've never replayed them. | qazwsxokmijn (102) | |
2007-12-10 05:55:00 | Call of Duty 4. (Xbox 360 for me) but best single player experiance (save Assassins Creed and HL2 Episode 2) I've had all year. And the online is simply amazing.

2007-12-10 07:04:00 | I can comment on Crysis and Bioshock, both games you need to use tactics to win, Crysis you really do as there are unseen enemies that can attack you, and they just keep comming at times. Though there are the same number of enemies on all difficuilty levels which gets a little boring... (I am currently playing it on easy due to my right arm in a cast... But have played the demo on hard and they were exactly the same) Bioshock there are many different ways you can kill an enemy and that is the fun of it, you can just keep replaying over and over using the different plasmids and weapons to kill the enemies. All in all I would recommend Crysis at this time :2cents:

2007-12-10 08:45:00 | Yeah, I'm pretty keen to get Bioshock and CoD4 myself. Anybody got any to give away to a poor student? :p | qazwsxokmijn (102) | |

2007-12-13 08:10:00 | Thanks to Deane who sent me a whole bunch of demos on disc, I've just blasted through the COD4 demo, which was most excellent. Felt just like COD, but modern. Going to go and give another demo a try now.
