| 779195 | 2009-06-03 02:35:00 | Yeah well when I got the call from my friend my first question was : "Did you get your new HD yet?" - that was my advice two years ago. Some of you may even remember me posting something about his laptop a loooong time ago.:p I agree with SolMeister. I've tried a lot of things and it's stuffed - I think he should get the message and get a new HD.:lol: Thanks for all the help guys, much appreciated.:thanks It's funny the longer we keep the forum running, the more I learn. :rolleyes: Two years ago I would have asked "where to start" and "what to do" - just searching PF1 gave me all the answers I needed to start, etc. sarel |

| 779196 | 2009-06-04 04:00:00 | Yay, my friend decided he will get a new lappie. Now I have to make sure he buys one with enough RAM and not one of the cr*p brands. I will also try and recover some of the data of his old one via Linux (I have one of these HD Receptables) so we will see. sarel |
