619774 2007-12-10 02:57:00 I want to be able to put a .flv file on a DVD for an archive (it's OK by the originating site to do that). I just don't know how.

Do I have to put a copy of MPC on each DVD to make it work or can I convert it to Windows Media so it can play that way?

619775 2007-12-10 03:12:00 Easiest & most lossless way would be to look up mplayer / mencoder for Windows and use that to convert them straight to DVD. I know there are applications out there that'll convert .flv files to AVI files, but not to DVD...

See: www.mplayerhq.hu

619776 2007-12-10 03:15:00 Nero 8 / Nerovision will .

Or convert them to dvd format with Super, then use a program like Nerovision to burn them .

619777 2007-12-10 03:17:00 Does the version of NeroVision that comes with Nero 7 do it? Or just Nero 8? Chilling_Silence (9)
619778 2007-12-10 03:19:00 Just Nerovision in Nero 8, AFAIK.

Just checked in Nero 7, it doesnt have flv in it, when you go to add video files.

619779 2007-12-10 03:36:00 Direct setup download (www.erightsoft.com is just an mencoder front-end, so may be easier for SurferJoe than using mencoder itself ;)

[URL="www.erightsoft.info) coz the websites not very user-friendly

619780 2007-12-10 03:43:00 Try www.videohelp.com and click on the Guides option on the left-hand side. DRHILL (3490)
619781 2007-12-10 05:48:00 How do you intend to view it?
I've burned a lot of .flv files onto a DVD using Ashampoo Burning Studio. When I view them on my laptop I RtClick and open with FLVPlayer.

619782 2007-12-10 05:55:00 I'm just concerned that I may have to put a copy of Windows Media Classic on each and every DVD first as an added file.... SurferJoe46 (51)
619783 2007-12-10 06:57:00 Well if u convert it to dvd format, with something like Super, you can burn it to DVD with some video editing sw.

Then it'll play on any dvd player, pc or other.
