I thought, that looks alright. So I bought one. From PB Tech in Penrose.
It works almost as I expected. With the exception that I can't get the NDAS feature working, yet.
I installed 200gb hdd in it; something large enough to hold lots of videos. At this stage I have to disconnect the device from the TV to transfer files onto the hdd by USB, but thats not too much of a problem.
The device picks up my pc over the wireless network, and in this mode plays music & shows photos excellently. Videos are a bit choppy, hence installing the hdd.
The computer can't see the device over the wireless network, but it pings OK, bit of figuring out to be done there.
All-in-all, I'm pretty happy with it.

"PC-to-TV Converters with Wireless Connection"

Video and audio from a PC sent wireless to a TV.

The link given has all the specs.

I just got the NDAS function to work, wirelessly.
I like this gadget:thumbs:
Mind you it's the first one of these I've ever bought, so I've nothing to compare it with.
