621695 2007-12-16 08:16:00 Dear all,
A friend of mine is looking into getting a new cellphone. Her minimum requirement would be "a camera phone that supports video calling, recording and mp3 playback". On top of that, she wants it to support bluetooth connection.

Cheers :)

Maybe you should try the next model up. Longer lasting battery.

621699 2007-12-16 09:56:00 Motorola RAZR models seem to be quite popular among the young people. What do you guys think about it?

Cheers :)

Great phone...had one for ages.

There's a new model (V8?) been out for about three months going for $799! Vodafone staff en masse told me it's not significantly better than the cheaper (slightly older) model, so be careful there.

Thats kind of like asking what car should I buy. All those features are pretty standard on a 3G phone, at $400 plus. Nokia are meant to be the most reliable. The iphone would be out until hey release the 3G one.

Yeah, I am aware that I have asked a very general question. :p

However, I am more interested to know whether anyone has had a good or bad experience with a particular model of phone.

Cheers :)

I don't think you can go wrong with Nokia, and they have the lowest failure repair rate according to DSE. This is a good site http://www.gsmarena.com/ to view reviews and to see what other people think of a particular model.
