780140 2009-06-06 10:06:00 Basically the system im running now has the following specifications:

CPU:AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5000+ (Overclocked @ 2.7GHz)
MOBO:Asus M2N-MX SE Plus
RAM:G.Skill 2GB DDR2-800 (underclocked?!?)
PSU:Thermal Master 420W TM-420-PMSR (Cooler Master)
Optical Drive:Asus DVD-RAM
HDD: Western Digital Caviar SE16 320GB

Ive just brought the following:

Nvidia 9800GT 256-bit, 512 GDDR3 Graphics card
Link here (pconlineshop.co.nz)

Silverstone Element ST50EF 500W 12V ATX PSU
Link Here (www.playtech.co.nz)

Is this enough for my new upgrades? or is there anything else i need.

Can someone also help me on the underclocked cpu?, my stats are Here (valid.canardpc.com)

780141 2009-06-06 10:12:00 Well it depends...what were you looking to see after the upgrade?

Better gaming performance? I would grab another stick of RAM, so cheap these days

And are you sure you don't mean DDR2 for RAM?

780142 2009-06-06 10:15:00 Sorry, I edited it now blam, also im looking at upgrading my ram but im unsure if my Genuine OS disk is 64bit - The os im using now is Windows longhorn indigo core VII and its 32bit only so far as i know... as for the ram any suggestions at why its running @ such a low speed? ZapperBoy10647 (11988)
780143 2009-06-06 10:37:00 Most probably to do with the FSB of the CPU limiting it and the ratios

Not an expert on this, so I'm unsure how you can correct it.

780144 2009-06-06 10:46:00 Thanks for that. is there anyone else on these forums that can help me?!? ZapperBoy10647 (11988)
780145 2009-06-06 11:04:00 Wait for SolMeister or someone experienced:p Blam (54)
780146 2009-06-06 12:16:00 You have your CPU:FSB ratio to 1:2. Most mainstream mobos won't let you tweak too much of this kind of ratio. You can try raising the RAM speed to the next highest ratio the motherboard allows you, but you may want to increase the DRAM voltage as it will exceed 800MHz. qazwsxokmijn (102)
780147 2009-06-06 23:15:00 i only have the option to increase dram 2 533mhz , would that be it? ZapperBoy10647 (11988)
