| 779968 | 2009-06-06 01:19:00 | I installed sp2 for vista through the updates and my computer slowed to a crawl the search function in all windows "failed to initialize" I used system restore to remove it again and then defraged both the reg and disc. sweet again I have tried to install it twice but will now wait a month or so. | Roger Hunt (13648) | ||

Sounds like something is conflicting or there was something wrong with your windows to begin with. Not sure what you can try but "sfc /scannow" might help (does this still work in Vista?) |
