621544 2007-12-16 07:55:00 Mate, if the local pub gives you a shirt with Lion Red on it do you refuse to wear it because it may be giving the wrong message, or it was made by some under paid slave in China?
:D

No I would not wear it because it was Lion Red. now if it was Montieths....

621545 2007-12-16 08:45:00 My ***** is that Starship poked its nose into politics and deprived the kids and medical teams of $158,000 they could have easily found good use for.

You make it sound like Starship Hospital is some poor beggar of an organisation who must gratefully take any money offered to them by anybody.

But ends do not justify means. The simplest understanding can comprehend that.

Machiavellism. Reminds me of Shakespeare's Richard III, if any of you know about it. Richard kills many people, often deceiving them into thinking he's their friends, and when the time comes, Richard backstabs them and kill them. All his cruelty is for one objective - getting the throne.

Old Niccolo. Not sure I make the link between him and Starship though.

Medici - sounds a bit like "medicine" maybe...?

621548 2007-12-16 09:44:00 gosh getting a bit hot in here eh . ?

i dont know all the details . . . . . . . of who what an where, why etc,

but really if the money is tainted by starships reckoning . . . . . . . then it was their choice not to take it . No matter who it was from every charity has the right to turn down help or money, and really why do they have to give a reason?

If it was a business it would be different, but its not its the government, who it seems are above the law at times . . . . . . . . yet we who do the right thing, have to pay . . . . sometimes what goes around comes around,

and really are we certain that that money would be put toward the kids . . . . . . how much would be used later as a bolster the government party to say, we did this because it was seen to be good, not what was best for the country . arent we the do gooders . . . . and will starship look good then or not? or will they look money hungry? sometimes things just arnt about money no matter how much it is .

I dont think the kids have lost out, because they never had it to start with . . . . . . but it shows that money is not the only thing some people are after .

not getting at anyone, dont shoot the messenger, and remember every one has different opinions, we dont always agree, but sometimes we have to agree that we disagree .
