779879 2009-06-06 06:18:00 very tempting my friend, do you have P5Q in stock and how much would that be?
Which company are you from? who am i buying from??? Tons of stuff I would like to find out before I buy stuff from you (No offense my friend) because I don't even know you......stuff like after sale service, etc...

the only reason stopping me from buying the P5K is that the second PCI express is only half the speed of the first one, which means it kind of handicaps the faster PCI slot when it comes to crossfire.....

cheers.

779880 2009-06-06 06:28:00 Powerover-just a note, even though it runs at 8x, its only abour 5-10% slower:) Blam (54)
779881 2009-06-06 07:53:00 !!!wow I wasn't expecting that! what about x4 or x1 mode? can i assums that:

8x is 10% slower than 16x
4x is 10% slower than 8x
1x is 10% slower than 4x ???

new question:

what is the deal with SLI Memory??? does it mean that the it has twice the bandwidth to access the same amount of memory therefore increasing the read and write speed?

what is Memory w/ EPP??

thanks heaps for your note blam :)

779882 2009-06-06 08:09:00 Not quite...read here for a bit more info:
www.tomshardware.com

I wouldn't bother with 4x if you're going to get/have a mid-high end card. They will be bottenecked(alot)

And SLI/EPP memory-its *allegedly* supposed to make the RAM more effecient operating with SLI cards, and easier to overclock etc

Its a marketing thingy really, wouldn't worry much about it

779884 2009-06-06 08:28:00 Why so?

its not x4, its x8 and x16, which is fine..
Blam (54)
779885 2009-06-06 08:44:00 I quote "2 x PCIe x16 (blue @ x16 mode,black @ x4 or x1 mode), featuring CrossFireX technology "

from this page here:

asus.com

I will probably end up buying that xfx mobo listed on trademe, it is still under warranty, the guy selling it still has the original purchase receipt, which proves he brought it from playtech...

man can't really make up my mind!! im such a little girl... :P
