| 622007 | 2007-12-17 19:27:00 | Muahahahahaha snow! LOL @ you Joe - it's sooooo nice and warm and sunny here! ;) The snow's actually up the hill from me here . . . not in our neighborhood mind you . I can visit and play in it any time and return to relative warmth and clear streets in about 15 minutes or less . The house had a chimney fall on it in 1982 or so . . and it sat and got all flop-sided . . and I am going to winch it back into plumb for a general contractor friend . The actual house . . . or "cabin" as it's defined by standards, was first built in 1922 and is a heritage building that has tax credits for it's maintenance and return to pristine values . The foundation is also made of oatmeal and needs to be re-poured . I was in the demo business for a company for quite a while as mechanic/operator and got to see all sorts of concrete . . but never as bad as this stuff is . I went trout fishing in the snow at Lake Hemet this past Friday . . caught a few and returned them (using lures instead of bait makes that do-able) . Next Friday I am going to fish in Lake Skinner for striped bass . They are like a fresh water tarpon . They fight, tail-walk and charge the boat . Fun in the max . They also taste good on the bar-b-cue . |
