Usually with most OS installations you can choose to format the drive during installation. What OS are you trying to install? And why can you not do it from USB? Does your laptop not support booting from USB? Try updating your BIOS if that is the case Blam |

It may be that he/she wants to give or sell the laptop to another person with a newly formatted hard drive so as to destroy or remove the current data. And we both know that data can be recovered off a formatted hard drive anyway unless you use something like kill disk. |
