780340 2009-06-07 10:50:00 Try move on Boot (www.softpedia.com) -- Sometimes works , sometimes doesn't.

Even that won't work-because the file is actually gone, but the "entry" is still there.

Had a few on my mums desktop, because Leopar accessing the windows share stuffed the name up..

780342 2009-06-08 02:48:00 So tried Move On Boot - Said: Congratulations you've deleted file but.............on restart it's still there. Thanks for suggestions - looks like I'm stuck with it. I've never actually gone into Safe mode on this computer, but I guess that's worth trying next. Cheers Shortstop (632)
780343 2009-06-08 04:23:00 Not really - also seen this happen - something is holding it, or putting it back on restart. I had one similar to that a few weeks back , it was actually an installed program holding it.

Try the linux live CD, navigate to the location and delete from there.
