| 780157 | 2009-06-06 22:45:00 | Dell Dimension 3100 2.8ghz pentium 4, 2gb mem. XP home Sound is perfectly ok on other sound functions but is distorted on Skype. Distortion is bad on Echo sound test on both the lady's voice, asking you to talk into the mic, and on the playback. Have been through XP voice record settings and sound and audio/voice settings as well as Skype settings. Has anyone had similar problem please? Thanks, Arjay |

| 780160 | 2009-06-07 06:13:00 | Sounds like there's a problem with your Internet connection. If you click Start --> Run Type: cmd In the new window, type in: ping -n 20 trademe.co.nz Let us know what the results are of the min, max & average, and if Lost= has anything higher than 0 Cheers Chill. |

He has a webcam with an intergrated mic which Skype should automatically adjust for volume. Did you mean to ping Skype, not trade me I presume. I'd like to know more about this. Thanks, Arjay |

| 780163 | 2009-06-07 22:13:00 | I had this kind of problem once. Uninstalling to a previous version fixed it for me. I tried updating recently to the newer version/s again but had same issue. Reverted back to previous version completely cured it. What I do know about it is it only happened with my usb speakers and was fixable with other speakers fed from the soundcard. |

Please tell me more about the USB speakers. I have USB headphones and would like to use them in conjunction with USB speakers for conference calls. Have been told it will not work, any ideas?? | 780166 | 2009-06-08 12:52:00 | USB Audio devices such as USB Speakers / USB Headphones create a new "sound device" that you can output things to, basically they act as a USB Sound-card in many instances. | Chilling_Silence (9) | ||
