It is all about personal preferences if you wish to have a tree, not gender related. Shows some insecurities if you feel you cannot have a Xmas tree without people thinking you are a bit *odd*. However, if that single guy then put on a pink tutu and danced around said tree I would be looking sideways ... |

If you put a really big christmas tree up in your bedroom then your male friends would all be able to see it when they come around - or if you put it near your hot tub then you'd all be able to look at it while you have a soak and talk about the All Blacks coach and Daniel Carter. |

Don't know if I would put up a tree if I was on my own, but I love it when grandaughter and I put up the tree. Then our family come round on Christmas day and we have a marvellous time. Eating, drinking, playing Christmas carols,opening pressies... great fun, even when I am in my mid 60's. Ken ;) Hey Mods, any Christmas smileys we can use? |

It sounds as though you would like a christmas tree, but because you are a single guy living alone, you don't want to be seen as not being manly. If you want one, just do it, who cares what other people may think. As you get older you will find that it actually doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, you just do what you want, as you become more comfortable with yourself and how you fit in. PS if you have a girlfriend or wife, it is often the guy who is made to put up the tree anyway. |
