Not sure how you came to that conclusion....I'm not familiar with the intersection in question but since when did turning traffic have right of way? |

I actually know of a couple of people who lost their Licences for 6 months due to too many Demerit points because of speeding, yet they kept on driving any way - never got caught, 6 months later got the licence back. |

Auckland is built on 50+ volcanoes so in a lot of instances any tunnelling is going to have to be through volcanic rock. Very expensive. |

Very expensive. yeah my thoughts too and looking at the time/money they're going through just double-lining the existing system, plus the time it took them to make that tunnel up past waiwera for SH1 i doubt they'd ever bloody finish it! (yet alone get resource consent:lol:) plus we'd need a new fleet of electric trains - which we should have anyway and britomart, which could be a good beginning for a subway system, has been built in such a retarded way that simply isn't going to happen without demolishing and rebuilding the whole bloody thing |

| 623994 | 2007-12-24 05:23:00 | Legod - you are an idiot. Why is it you think that "The only reason for having one is if you like to break the speed limit but don't like to get caught?". I break the limit at least 2x per week - unintentionally. How many of us drive at 54kph or 55kph etc in a 50 zone? Or at 84kph etc in an 80 zone? LOTS of us. We just do and we do not mean to. And I got one to stop me getting pinged for drifting over the limit without meaning to. I didn't buy it to speed at 80 in a 50 or 150 in a 100 zone - as you are obviously accusing 'us' of. I bought it as a warning for myself because I'm not perfect (like you obviously are), and sometime stray over the limit a little - and get fined for this. Please be careful before you tar us all with the same brush. | yorkshirekid (9033) | ||

| 623996 | 2007-12-24 07:10:00 | So, Your claim for breaking the law is incompetence?. I didn't claim a thing. The incompetence here is your inability to notice that I said I wasn't perfect. ie. we make mistakes - unintentionally; unless we are like those of us crass enough to choose a Jesus like icon to represent oneself. You walk on water Melta and the rest of us will stand and watch. Mmm - I can see why you are 'Beyond Salvation'. | yorkshirekid (9033) | ||
| 623997 | 2007-12-24 07:46:00 | So, I was right. Good to know. Pity whoever took you for your driving test didn't pick up on you not being able to gauge or govern the speed at which you drive. Does your device also let you speed past schools, bus stops? |
