623692 2007-12-23 08:35:00 Using Exit Mould can get rid most of the mould. It's actually chlorine. Just spray and wait for 30 mins to 1 hour. Can get them from Pak n save. Thanks for that. I will give it a go before trying anything
else. Cheers.

623693 2007-12-23 11:18:00 No, no, the Ever White. All the rest will eventually get mould again.

We are going to try Ever White. Thanks for drawing my attention to it. We had a new shower installed about 6 years ago. After a couple of years found same problem as Pato. The sealant was removed twice and each time we followed the method Greg has suggested. Hopefully, will be third time lucky with Ever White.

Cheers,
Marnie

Give "Exit Mould" a go before you reseal. I have just finished using it and it has worked a treat. However, time will tell how long it takes to return but it is certainly easier than resealing. Cheers.

Thanks for your suggestion. I have just tried it and it has worked very well indeed. I will be interested to see how long it takes to return but it is certainly easier than resealing. Many thanks for your help. Cheers. Pat.

We did the exit mould process, Pat. It looked great for a while, then the problem returned. The trouble being that the mould is growing under the sealant. It's not a huge amount and it probably annoys me more than it would most other people, but it would be great to have it back to being pristine.
Didn't even attempt to go to 'Placies' today. New World supermarket was diabolical and served as a warning to get home and stay there
Best of luck with your process.

Cheers,

I thought that would be the case but will see how it goes. I am surprised that
someone hasn't come up with a sealant that doesn't produce mould. I guess
it is harder to overcome that it sounds. Cheers.

623699 2007-12-24 08:05:00 Last shower I installed I didn't use any sealer on the inside of the shower. Just put it on the outside of the joins or on joins where it can't be seen and it hasn't leaked and no mouldy joins. If you can replace the sealer inside the shower cubicle with sealer on the outside it should fix the problem. muzza (7316)

Unfortunately that can't be done. The shower was installed by so-called professionals when the house was built 4 years ago and I guess I am stuck with the problem. If it really bugs me I will get it fixed but in the meantime I can live with it LOL.

623701 2007-12-24 10:38:00 If it were me,I would treat with Wet and Forget.
Just squirt on,it kills mould and over time washes off.

And no,I don't own the company,it's not cheap but it works.
