623564 2007-12-22 22:10:00 Best electronic purchase Ive made...ever.

After reading your guys replies, and watching some Ipod & Zune reviews on YouTube.

I have made my decision, I just brought an Ipod Touch 8gb, can't afford the 16gb, although it would have been nice.

Do you guys use iTunes or a different third party app, like Ipodder or Winamp?

623565 2007-12-22 22:15:00 It may work with Winamp, well its video and MP3's

You'll have to use Itunes or download the separate firmware update, if you want to update it and sync it with Outlook.

I use both Winamp, and Itunes. BUT, use Itunes more since I sync with Outlook as well.

623567 2007-12-22 22:27:00 Well I dont know about emails.

You usually sync contacts and calendar with an Ipod. Not emails.

623568 2007-12-22 23:12:00 I didn't realise it had a calendar - that would be very handy. I don't see the point in syncing contacts without email. Greven (91)

 I knew what you meant Speedy. - calendar & contacts

623570 2007-12-22 23:24:00 Yup Outlook, and most Ipods I think have a calendar.

I only sync with the calendar, so I have a note of what bills I've paid and when I paid them.

Well contacts include an address / ph # and can include email addies.

I suppose some other program could sync emails, if you really wanted to save them. BUT, it probably wouldnt be free.

BUT, there's no option on Ipods for email. Well unless the later Ipods have one.

I spose you could (if you were desperate), save emails as a text file and drop and drag it / them into notes using My computer.

No problem. Glad you're enjoying it. I do have a case, got it from a friend for free, just a silicon one, works good. Too bad my ipod headphones are already screwed. Might wanna look at replacing them sooner or later.

And now all you need to do is jailbreak it - trust me, you won't regret it. If you think people are blown away with it atm, wait till you show them 5 pages of applications, gameboy advance, nes and soon a psx emulator, as well as pc ported games like crayon physics, sand, and all the iphone apps. Youtube ipod jailbreak, it's a piece of cake to do, otherwise send it down to me and I'll do it for you
