623125 2007-12-20 09:40:00 The earth didn't move for me in Dunedin - but maybe someone else felt it here?

Sounds serious...

623126 2007-12-20 09:43:00 Felt in Palmerston North. It was the roughest I'd felt for a long time, but wasn't more than a shake here. ie nothing off shelves or damage. But a good shake to be sure. mmmork (6822)

623128 2007-12-20 10:07:00 So I didn't imagine it....I thought it was the glass of wine I was drinking!! Marnie (4574)
623129 2007-12-20 11:15:00 Felt it here in Napier also. Big rubble noise before it hit. Suppose it lasted about a minute. First one I have felt for a year or more. House has concrete floor. In the house I lived in before it had a wooden floor on piles and you felt the slightest shake.

623131 2007-12-20 16:39:00 I felt it about 04:13 our time here in Southern California. Youse guys do things in a big way. SurferJoe46 (51)
623132 2007-12-20 17:26:00 Felt distinctly here in Feilding. Actually, i heard a rumble about 5 to 8 seconds before the first motion was felt. The motion showed a definite North West to South East orientation.

Here, for Surfer Joe's appreciation is a trace from Northern Hawkes Bay - fairly close to the epicentre.

623133 2007-12-20 18:10:00 Was speaking on the phone to my mum in Napier last night immediately afterwards. She felt it a lot; said it went on for at least half a minute and it scared the daylights out of her. Greg (193)
