623600 2007-12-22 20:08:00 totally random i guess . . . . . . . . .

But where a house on the outside has the power wires connected so the house can access the power . . . . . . . this holder type thing - this one is a frame idea? looks like a bike rack gone wrong . is rusted to heck, and may need replacing . . . . . . . who is responsible for that? the owner / landlord? the power company? cos one day it may just fall off . . . . . . .
and would you need to get who to replace it? a qualified electricory person?

:stare:

Either way, the power boards frequently state "If in doubt, ask . " They hate surprises . :stare:

Tomorrow at 6 am is probably not a good day to call though, so wait until a fine calm day to call .
"Beetling" it, either remotely or close up is probably not a good idea either . :help: Have a good (non-sparking) Xmas .

623602 2007-12-22 20:49:00 It is the power entry to the house....... the 2 wires come from the pole out on the street originally, and across to the house which is attached onto this wonky looking frame and then into house.

so if attached to house its the power peoples prob? not house owners? or did i read that wrong......... and i promise not to go any closer to it:p

623603 2007-12-22 20:52:00 The lines company or power board will look after it.

(Watch out it doesn't come chasing you.)

Oh really? This haoppened to some people here - it fell off in some wind . The power company charged them for it - an enormous amount - because it was the part on the house - they said the house was at fault as it hadn't been maintained .

623605 2007-12-23 00:20:00 Beetle has done her bit by finding a hazardous wall-widget, if she then notifies the power co. of the hazard, it is up to the power co. to rectify the fault if it's their bit, or notify the owner of a whoops in his bit. No beetle budget strike is needed.
If it comes off you are going to have a beetle electrified lawn with worms-a-leaping for the festive season plus spontaneous highland dancing displays by unwary visitors, pets and children. The good bit is that it is taking power before the meter, so you get all this live (temporarily) entertainment free.
I doubt that you would be able to get th price of safety gumboots for beetle, kids, cats and dogs off the next power bill though.
