Were one could give or ask for on good advise on employment issues, of course it would be hard to give "one's personnel advice" and then have the person at the other end using it and getting sacked at work the next day . It would have to be one of those "if you take the advice of this forum, that is your problem" type forums . but could have advertisements where you can go for professional advice .

I work at the moment in a factory, I did my 3½ years apprenticeship in a bigger factory it was a 4½ year apprenticeship but I past my 3rd year exam & then the government took off another 1000 hours (½ year) . so all together I spent about just over five years in the place, this is in the mid 70's If I had of had just one month of crap I get from this place spread over the years I spent in the other place I would never applied for the job, but when I appied for the job I just thought all I have to do is go to work, work hard and go home happy, wrong!! as someone once told me there is always another [buzz] [buzz] waiting for you around the corner .

I have worked at a number of other places since then and have been at this place for just over 3½ years the factory foreman is one big [buzz, moderated be poster] I have had dozens of bosses nobody has treated me as bad as this [buzz] . The two people running the place just can not work it out and will not listen to me .

Team effort, the only team effort in the place is the foreman pack picking on someone, (like me), two female co workers told me the foreman treated me different to others in the place, that is going back a couple of years, about a year ago another co worker came back to me and said he felt very sorry for me after he talked to the foreman and heard how he treats me .

I just wonder what would be the legal aspect of such a forum, could the owner of the forum be taken to the cleaners if it turned out to be like one of those USA type dismissals (if you get the drift), maybe this is the reason why there is no forums, the owner of the forum might be the first target .

I must go to work now, if I told you everything that went on since I started you would not believe there are "hell workplaces" in NZ

It depends.

Do you mean personal advice or personnel advice?
Based on your idea I would set up a web site with a forum attached.

I believe professional advice can be found at the Citizens Advice Bureau. They are not lawyers but will point you to the correct person(s) where you get free or paid advice. Employment law can be found here:-
www.ers.dol.govt.nz You always have the right to withhold labour and you should have a copy of the contract you signed.

Assuming you MAY have a harassment issue or constructive dismissal issue then you have the right to take the matter to the relevant authority. Why not find another employer?
