| 624794 | 2007-12-26 21:01:00 | I occasionly download files using uTorrent. Trouble is I can never get decent download speeds - maximum seems to be about 240 kilobits/s on my 2Mb adsl with Xtra. I can usually download files from webpages or FTP at my max speed. Is there some secret to getting better speeds? | Greg (193) | ||
| 624795 | 2007-12-26 21:10:00 | Im sure you've fowrarded all the correct ports. ;) Ditch Xtra. In all seriousness. Well not really. All providors will have slower/faster times. Depending on time of day etc etc. I think you'll find a lot of people are getting worse speeds than you. One thing could help, try turning packet encryption on, it's somewhere in the preferences. Cause although Xtra swear black and blue that they don't packet filter, we all know they do.... :p |

I believe it's now defunct, but those who chose to stay on it when Xtra changed their plans remain on it. Pretty sure it's basically the equivalent of Go Large. |
