624672 2007-12-26 05:18:00 Hi all,

I often rebuild PCs and I want to download old trial versions of Microsoft Office (ie Office XP, 2003) from the Internet. My reason for this is to get my clients 'going', then they can purchase a full copy later on if they want to.

Do these old trials exist, either from MS's site or another (or on CD-ROM)? BTW I don't want to bewilder them with Office 2007 - yet!

Thx

PS it's my 18th tomorrow (27th Dec) - w00t! :D

624673 2007-12-26 05:37:00 I don't think MS alow the trial downloads any more. I know what you are asking, as I wanted a trial of 2003 just after MS brought out 2007, and couldn't find it where it used to be on their site. It took ages to locate an original copy of the trial software I knew I had around here - someplace.

Even if you can locate a trial copy, actually purchasing a full licence may be differcult, as MS want every one to use Office 2007.

PS: Happy BD for tomorrow

624674 2007-12-26 05:54:00 Why not give them OpenOffice instead? Completely free and they won't be stuck with a crippled trial version after a short period of time or have to cough up for the full version price. Jen (38)
