624124 2007-12-24 00:40:00 Something really hideous happened a couple of weeks ago which I won't mention.

Then, our neighbour had a 45' Macrocarpa pole blocking our sunshine. She said she was getting in a man to cut it down, we said we'd do it. It was agreed it would come down anyway.

So this weekend while she went away we told her we'd do the tree.

Husband fell out from 20' up - luckily he seems to have more lives than a cat and didn't kill himself on the corrugated iron fence directly under it.

Got a friend to help then and down it came.
Neighbour arrives home and decides shes pissed off about it for some reason. We had cleaned up all the branches and left her the main tree for firewood.

Then today I check up on a finance doc I'd couriered off Sunday before last - no money has arrived yet - Courierpost tell me it hasn't even gone into the system and therefore was not collected.

Ring the local Post Depot owner in Wyndham, who has an attitude problem. He denies taking it, refuses to even look for it.

I've had to get another contract and now have to try and find the customer to sign them all over again. Friend was in just before and tells me shes gone on holiday.

Great.

Next?

624126 2007-12-24 00:52:00 I had a similar weekend.

Mate blew a gearbox in his Legacy - $$$$$$ - we're all stuck in the middle of nowhere without cellphone reception.

Another mate got married, outdoor wedding, cloud burst abslolutley saturated the 200 people attending.

I crashed my car into a fence, (fourtunatley not much damage, odd scratch here and there) and another mate crashed his car into a post (avoiding an overtaking car, and avoiding a cyclist, drove into a much larger fence).

That was only saturday!!

We considered wrapping outselves up in bubble wrap on sunday, and strapping ourselves into bed. :o

Fourtunatley nothing else went haywire. Bad things definitley do come in groups.

Oh, and my great aunt died on friday, at 91 years of age.

Hope you get your stuff sorted pctek.

624127 2007-12-24 00:59:00 It is frustrating but forgivable if someone makes a mistake during their busy time, but it is unacceptable for him to be such a prick about it.

Have you complained to the head office?

624128 2007-12-24 01:02:00 Well i had great news yesterday........ only to find the paper war that goes with it, is just about immobile due to xmas and new year.and deadlines are looming.:(
and how many times can you be put on hold on the phone? trying to get your part sorted? and youve recently moved house and dont know where half of the stuff they want is?

and my broken winscreen got fixed, on sat........ lucky for me they were open on saturday and could source a winscreen last week....... but walking round for 3 hrs with 2 children in xmas rush to kill time isnt fun.

and i read in the paper today, a very close friends dad has died...... he has the same disease as my dad, and he is younger than my dad, and so i have a funeral on friday to go to.:(

and xmas dinner has been cancelled cos too many of my family (extended) are sick and unwell to the point of not having xmas at all, some bedridden, wheel chair bound or dar i say it spending an awful lot of time in the bathroom..........

:(
But Merry Christmas all.......:)

I complained to NZ Post who were very concerned.
The guy at the depot (Wyndhams 4 Square) who owns it, has a bit of a reputation for being a prick.

He's had his attitude thing before with me, lets see how he likes the response this time, not to mention I'll never go there again.

It will sort itself, just screws my cashflow until New Years..........

No stress here!

As for the stress others are having, well, it's enough to keep me staying at home.... almost!

Ouch! Did he jump up like a real man and say that didn't hurt a bit (dusting himself down) .

My wife was at the doctors a few weeks ago and a woman hobbled in, in rather a bad state . Her plumber wanted to show her something on the roof ( ) and she went up there and promptly fell off . Ouch again .

Mother-in-law is up from Invercargill for Christmas (ho ho he he) .
