| 625086 | 2007-12-28 00:49:00 | Just as you say FoxyMX, I don't see the naughty words as a problem. I was talking of the people who don't see past the naughty words and therefore look no further. They judge the show (or others with naughty words) on the basis of the naughty words only. Sweep, does anyone care what the words mean? In many cases it is not the meaning of the word that upsets people, but the way it is said. I have heard, as I'm sure you have, the expression, "You old bastard," used in an affectionate way. I think that you "look like us, talk like us" a lot more than you would like to admit. "Us" is a vast majority of this country. You seem to think that is a bad thing, but I think not. We have a kiwi look and a kiwi accent which is all ours. No-one else in the world has that. Be proud of it! And, of course, the loyalty is a great thing in a family. You can do or say what you like to me but if you attack any member of my family in any way, verbally or physically, you attack me. Watch out! Having had over five decades of dealing with the public I can assure you that I do not judge a book by it's cover. I have learnt to sum people up very quickly by looking and listening - the latter in particular. Love working with people SO much. |
