624059 2007-12-23 23:31:00 Whilst going through my PC World archive, I came across these amusing quotes from the September 1996 article on the construction of '@IDG', the forerunner to this current PC World site.

The interviewer's reply to the list of server specs:

"64mb of RAM? Ouch. That sounds like an expensive PC."

and, on discussion of the Intranet browser:

"We bought a 10-user Netscape Navigator licence on the logic that no more than 10 of IDG's 60 employees would be Web browsing at any time."

How times change!

624063 2007-12-24 17:49:00 Well, a high end PC now has about the same capacity of RAM as a hard drive from the days of Windows 98. pcuser42 (130)
