626876 2008-01-03 02:31:00 IMO Steam = Crap. Wouldn't touch it with a 40 foot barge pole. Sure, it has it's advantages...but meh. Not worth it. wratterus (105)
626877 2008-01-03 07:37:00 Why shouldn't they charge like that? It worked for Bill Gates - - - -

Would it be better if they called it iSteam? ;)

Steam is probably one of the biggest crocks of s**t created in some time.

I see Activision and EA are rallying to stop the sale of 2nd hand games as well as they dont make profit off the sale. The original prices are robbery in the first place!

626879 2008-01-03 21:19:00 Steam aren't the only ones doing it. I decided to buy a copy of Nero 8 because the US price was reasonable when converted to NZ$ (about $75 from memory) but when I got through to the ordering part, they wanted to charge me AU$80  Greven (91)
626880 2008-01-04 01:26:00 Mmm, yes, I buy most of my software overseas. Far cheaper.
And I avoid Steam.
