2009-06-15 12:15:00 | Hi there, I have a laptop which is suffering a bit of game lag issue. Here are my specs: HP Pavilion dv5-1209ax 2.1 AMD Athlon X2 Processor 4GB Ram ATI HD 3650 (512MB Dedicated) 250GB HDD I've been playing games such as Burnout Paradise City, Godfather 2, and I experience some lag. My graphics card is capable of playing these games. Theres some settings in the ATI Catalyst Control Center that can change my 3D Settings to High Performance or High Quality. I tried High Performance but it hasn't helped much. I have updated my ATI Drivers but still no progress. Is there a program I can use to improve gameplay or a setting I have missed out on the ATI Catalyst Control Center? Thanks. :thanks

2009-06-15 12:26:00 | when you mean lag, do you mean frame rate issues? Lag refers to network latency; you fire your weapon and the guy on the other end only gets hit by the bullet moments later, not instantly. Also how do you know your graphics card can play these games? Have they run smoothly before but they now run slow? The game's minimum specs are just that; the minimum required to load the game, not have a satisfactory and enjoyable experience :)

Even on low settings, I experience a bit of frame rate issues. I went to that website "CanIRunIt" and my laptop was over the required requirements to play this game. Also, when I started playing, it seemed to be running fine. My laptop is only one month old. I tried this program "GameBooster" but it didn't help much. What should I do? |

2009-06-15 22:46:00 | Yes I have updated drivers from ATI and also used the mobility modder from driverheaven to modify my drivers to improve my graphics. | vims213 (15007) | |
2009-06-15 23:40:00 | maybe you need to drop the resolution and image quality settings. Does "CanIRunIt" specify what graphics settings are required to constitute playable? | utopian201 (6245) | |
2009-06-15 23:44:00 | Minimum System Requirements OS: Windows XP/Vista Processor: Pentium 4 @ 2.8 GHz (3.2 GHz for Vista) Memory: 1 GB (1.5 GB for Vista) Hard Drive: 4 GB Free Video Memory: 128 MB (Shader Model 3.0+) Sound Card: DirectX Compatible DirectX: 9.0c or 10 Keyboard & Mouse DVD Rom Drive My Specs: HP Pavilion dv5-1209ax 2.1 AMD Athlon X2 Processor 4GB Ram ATI HD 3650 (512MB Dedicated) 250GB HDD I've aready dropped the resolutions to lowest possible and my graphics quality is all low.
