Wasn't talking about Meth cooks. I was talking in general. Meth no worse then alcohol, they are as bad as each other if abused. |

Even my father spent alot years in prison for assault and drugs related stuff, even he says its a joke inside, in his cell he had a tv, stereo, guitar, phone. I think the perks the prisoners get, largely depends on the crime they committed. If it was a white collar crime such as fraud, they would obviously be treated better than a drug dealer or murderer, and would probably get more perks. A lot of low level crimainals avoid prision and get home detention instead, where they get the perks of home. |

Alcohol would have to be the worse, put I'm not pointing fingers . In the case of my offending, I was producing the drug solely for myself to feed my own habit, something that the crown accepted when I was sentenced . What I'm saying is that Prison, can either give you the will to turn your life around or drive you to re-offend, it's this line we don't want to cross . Me - I have no intention to reoffend, so it has worked for me . It is all about Rehabilitation . If that fails you just create hardened criminals . By the way Rob - thanks for holding nothing against me . |

This makes a bit of an interesting read, although i am unsure if the facts are even close to todays crime numbers, Im sure things have increased in numbers since 1988 www.laworderreferendum.org.nz |
