Barbaric is the word that springs to mind, wrt some of the people and most the conditions they endure. Hellish is another one. |

Sounds a bit like being at boarding school, not having any friends and getting beaten up by the older kids. And this is what happened to some kids who have done nothing wrong and it has ruined their lives psychologically and emotionally. |

I tell you, it's not a place that's nice to be and it's hard not to hold resentment for the system and make people want to continue to offend. Just to say F*@k you If I had been given harsh treatment in Prison, I would have had no will give up Making Meth, Hey I loved doing it, and the more I felt f*@ked off at the system the the more I wanted to get back out there and do it. I wanted to change my ways, but every time they kick you, it makes you want to continue offending. But you see, I was shown some understanding in Prison, and I and it gives you will to change and not want to go back. It really does. You are all armchair critics, who unless you have been there really don't know what it's like, and shouldn’t be so quick to judge. I bet if you experienced it, you would change your views. I too remember being shocked at the fact Prisoners were even allowed to watch TV when I was younger. But I tell you if I didn't have a TV and have been shown some understanding I would have had a lot of time to build up resentment, and I would be still cooking today. I didn’t sit there and watch TV all day, I was running the Laundry, which was a huge task, and I watched my TV at night. The biggest punishment is not being able to be with friends and family. No matter how long you are there those walls don’t grow on you. Ummm no. Most of dont know what its like because we dont break the law. After all thats what got you in there isnt? That your own fault. Since you get sent to prison, as a punishment, is watching tv and doing in your case the laundry punishment enough for manufacturing a drug that tears peoples lives apart, break up families etc etc? I have no beef with you, but if I expected a punishment Id think it would be alot harder then that. I have been sent to the military cells, now they make you work. Hardcore physical work. |

Can you honestly say you don't break the law? Or would the fact you have never been caught breaking the law ring a bit more true. Once again for you to have a statement about what drugs do to you, is that through personal experience or through what you hear from the media, or a mate of a mates cousin. I don't think anyone has a right to comment on anything unless they have experienced it. |

Seems a bit twisted... Yes my family has had a fair bit of drug use in it, as Im sure other has. Which is why I choose not to. |

| 626845 | 2008-01-04 21:48:00 | I just think if prison is hard, like proper hard, unlike today, maybe like the prison in zqwerty's link, some people would think twice before doing crimes . Even my father spent alot years in prison for assault and drugs related stuff, even he says its a joke inside, in his cell he had a tv, stereo, guitar, phone . |
