| 626156 | 2008-01-02 21:09:00 | I don't see any lawyers' booths set up outside of the facility..why not? :xmouth: That not only looks dangerous, but the minimum age (10 years) is well below the age of accountability..but not liability. I'd hate to have a kid get hurt and have to pay his livelihood for the next 60 years or so. Surely it's logical - a splattered kid can be fairly quickly replaced with a new one, but old wrinklies take forever to replace. From the heights involved here, injuries are rare, falls reach terminal velocity. Very terminal. Obviously lawyers keep well clear of places such as this, due to the fact that a falling out with their victim may result in a free ride. Actually in places like this, the biggest hazard is usually to your taste buds if you try the coffee. NZ specialises in coffee that will not get stolen. |

| 626157 | 2008-01-03 06:05:00 | Definitely not hung over ..... spent New years Eve at the medical center and New years day I was rushed to hospital, have been out for about an hour now, on trial basis ........... on a very sad note ..... I arrived at the same moment they announced to the waiting room that there was going to be a several hour wait as there had been a large accident and they were expecting about 9 people in ....... I was very sick and was taken into ED straight away ..... luckily I didn't see anything as I was in an (out of the way) room but OMG the sounds are ones I will never forget and horribly enough my son did see some things he never should have ....... was a horrible crash ..... | never-u-mind (6500) | ||

As regards your passing comments on the crash victims, unfortunately this time of year tends to bring out the worst in motoring (and other) behaviour, which can have tragic consequences, not only for the people directly involved, but also their families and friends. |

They should have the toll count stopped on the 7th when everyone goes back to work. Yesterday we passed 2 crashes coming from Tauranga to Hamilton... |
