782198 2009-06-15 01:46:00 Dont think so, there's a lot of posts/threads in here, where people have had probs using wireless (if the wireless is separate). And have never managed to get a modem and a router (esp wireless) to work nicely together.

Depends how much you want to spend I guess. I'm just using a Dlink DSL-G604T Gen II. I've used wireless before on it (without probs). But not using wireless at the mo (for the Xbox). Since the Xbox is right beside it, so I'm using ethernet.

782199 2009-06-15 01:54:00 Didn't you say it is your controller that is dropping connection intermittantly, GameJunkie? Why all this talk about a new wireless router etc? Are you actually getting D/Cd from xbox live or what? I have a wireless G modem in my house & I use my controller wirelessly connected to my 360 all the time without any problems while other flatmates are using their laptops on wireless as well. It may be different when you have the 360 wireless adapter attached to the 360. Other than this, how old is your controller? It may just be faulty or the batteries may be rooted, have you tried new batteries in it, or tried putting a charge pack in it? Have you got a second controller you could use? If it's fairly new take it back under warranty Nictech (14748)
782200 2009-06-15 02:03:00 i have unplugged the router but the disconnection continues. what next?

If you have unplugged the router then its not the router.....

Most likely you have a faulty controller or xbox.

the xbox is not connected to the internet/xbox live
no adapter is on the xbox
the controller/console is 5 days old
there is 3 bars showing in the battery icon, will try some rechargable batteries though.

it was thought the wireless router was interferring with the controller
