625700 2007-12-30 00:28:00 About 2 1/2 years old but has been upgraded.
Basic Dell Dimension 4700 motherboard and 300W PSW
Pentium 4 520 3.00Ghz
2.0 GB RAM
320GB HDD (2x 160GB)
256MB ATI Radeon X1900GT
48x CD-RW (disconnected to allow for 2nd hard drive)
16x DVD-ROM Writer
Onboard audio

I also have the orignal monitor, 17" E173FP model
Also a new Dell slim line keyboard with original Dell mouse.
Contains all software and original OS that came with it when bought new.

Hasn't failed me yet, runs all the top end games, such as Oblivion, HL2, Gothic 3, Timeshift

Many thanks

$400-$550 . Based on it being a dell, perhaps a little less.

625701 2007-12-30 00:39:00 This is why Trademe was invented.

Anything you want to sell is worth what a person will pay.

625702 2007-12-30 00:41:00 It's never worth selling your computer after Purchase, you will never get how much you bought for it.

I tend to keep things around and use them for servers etc.

I purchased a similar speced computer for $180 from a business that closed, so $400 would probably be the retail price someone would pay for it.

You can purchase a higher speced brand new computer for about $600

625704 2007-12-30 02:22:00 I couldn't possibly say at all because neither of you mentioned the BRAND of HDD, DVD, Graphics, notherboard etc etc. pctek (84)
625705 2007-12-30 02:31:00 My guess about $700

I still stand by my evaulation, considering that includes the LCD monitor as well. Although I must say Dell is not my favorite brand of computers

15 inch though, at 1024x768 resolution. That wouldn't be worth very much at all these days. You would probably be very lucky to get $50 for the monitor alone on trademe.

625707 2007-12-30 06:17:00 I hope some of you valuers are around next time i want to sell a computer.

I will be very surprised if anyone actualy pays more than $250 for a 2 1/2 year old Dell.

And about the same for the other one too.
