627849 2008-01-10 02:30:00 I am really interested in these, however I want to know what the implications are for running it in for business purposes in an office environment where the default email and diary medium is outlook. Does Oo have an Outlook type application?
As far as the portability thing goes, I have been carrying an Asus 2500H around for the last 4 years 4.5Kg with the adapter and the idea of 940gms is quite exciting as is the $550.00 price tag.

I've got WinXP installed on my Eee at the moment with Office 2007, and it runs very fast (actually, quite surprisingly fast). I didn't install Outlook, but based on how well Word/Excel/Powerpoint peform, I'd suspect Outlook would be fine.

The only issue is you will need to purchase an XP licence...

627850 2008-01-12 12:09:00 A bit off topic but has anyone gotten Pidgin (msn) on the default Xandros OS to work on their EEE PC? I get this connection error whenever I try to connect:
"xxxx@gmail.com disconnected Connection Error From Notification Server: Unable to connect"

I've already upgraded to the latest v2.3.1 which didn't help at all.

I haven't had any issues whatsoever - it just worked straight out of the box.
