| 783691 | 2009-06-20 07:48:00 | thanks blam. I looked into the update history and it is not there. but automatic update is downloading stuff as I type this, and it updated like quite a few times during the day (it asked me to reboot every now and then so it could finish each update, etc) I also pulled the graphics card out and put it back in this morning, then started gaming again and it worked fine for the morning. It suddently strikes me that it might be a loose connection: the PCI slot or the power cable for the card, or it is not getting enough power (unlikely). Also in the windows power setting I set the PCI power saving to "off". hopefully that will stop it freezing. do you think that will help a bit? thanks for your help. |
