| 629015 | 2008-01-10 02:53:00 | I don't agree . You can't fire people just for whinging . Almost everyone would be unemployed then . Being a non-smoker and requesting a non-smoking environment is hardly "whinging" . Being a non-smoker, requesting a non-smoking environment, and then complaining because your co-workers get more smoke-breaks than you do - now that's whinging . |

| 629017 | 2008-01-10 04:08:00 | A firm I worked at some years back let the smokers have time (on top of their usual breaks) for a smoking break. When I asked, on behalf of the non-smokers for a non-smoking break I was told to go away and stop trying to be funny. No sense of humour these smokers. I agree Bruce, THAT was whinging. |

The funny part is listening them tell how much pleasure they get from doing this when they obviously don't know why it makes them feel good. I was a forty a day man (Plus a pipe) and rememeber how hard it was to break the pure addiction of it. (cold turkey, two weeks of hell and another two years of avoiding situations where it was normal to smoke) Oh and those days it was thought health giving to smoke. (2 shillings and sixpence a packet of twenty) I know this might be a little off the original thread but I bet there are many others here that begin to boil when they read of someone condoning smoking. Oh, and for all you smoking woman,it does something to your skin and makes you look ten years older. Not good when you get to forty. Think about that. |
