2009-06-20 02:40:00 | I have somehow ended up with Bing on my computer when I use Internet Explorer. Is it a good thing? I don't think I want it - I didn't install it (knowingly) but I'm a woman, so that may make a few men nod! - How do I get rid of it please (if I should)? AND I will need instructions in very CLEAR terms! | Suchie (15027) | |
2009-06-20 02:44:00 | Remove its search engine. Its Microsoft's. Select the arrow by the magnifying glass / manage search providers. select bing then delete it | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2009-06-20 02:45:00 | in the search bar in the top right of IE, click the down arrow, there should be a list of search providers. if the one you want is not there, click on find more providers from the down arrow i specified. hope this helps. dammit speedy :D

2009-06-20 04:15:00 | Bing is Microsofts new search engine. :) It also has an amazing video search engine (must use US version though). Might as well keep it. Its just another search engine like Google or Yahoo.

AND I will need instructions in very CLEAR terms! Don't panic :) You probably had Live Search as your default, and Microsoft has renamed it to Bing. If you don't like it follow the instructions mentioned by others, but it's not a virus anything to worry about. |
