782955 2009-06-17 07:07:00 Hi All,
The other day I piggybacked someone elses thread because my problem seemed similar, (By Gedc ?}' I tried to do an upgrade on CC but it would not work. It appeared to want me to buy the latest version, previously I had the Free Version. Doesn't the free version exist any more? Thanks. PJ

782956 2009-06-17 07:10:00 Sounds like youre going to the wrong site. Or something's redirecting your browser. Its still free according to the site. WHAT site did it take you to? Speedy Gonzales (78)

782958 2009-06-17 07:21:00 I did the update from CC when it told me that there was an update. I then Googled it & downloaded that CC version.

I will try to d/l Rob99's link & will let you know what happens. PJ

782959 2009-06-17 07:25:00 Why google it?? It takes you to the site. Just click on the download link Speedy Gonzales (78)

I could not get the version on this computer to do the upgrade, no matter what I did. So I deleted CC & started from scratch. Clearly I was doing summat wrong.

I now have the latest version & have used it.

Thanks All. PJ

782961 2009-06-17 07:37:00 Did you uninstall it first then reinstall it?? Not a good idea deleting folders, without uninstalling the program first Speedy Gonzales (78)
782962 2009-06-17 21:56:00 I found that CCleaner actually didn't remove the files it found totaly from my computer where Glary's Utilities free software did.
Glary Utilities better than CCleaner
Advanced uninstall better than Revo uninstall
