1439629 2017-09-23 00:40:00 I have Linux Mint v8.2 with Chrome browser version 61.0.3163.79 Ubuntu.
All plugins are up to date. (chrome://components).
The problem is that TVNZ on demand will not display its videos.

Previously I have had this problem with Fat Dog, Puppy, and Chromebook, but after the plugins were updated it worked, but not this time.
I have reinstalled Chrome twice. Apart from TVNZ everything else works.

1439630 2017-09-23 02:43:00 Hi mzee. Using Linuxmint 18.1. On the Vivaldi browser (same rendering engine as Chrome?) TVNZ On Demand does not work. The error message after a minute or so is "Unable to access DRM content". I don't have Chrome installed.

No problem with Firefox.

1439631 2017-09-23 03:02:00 Interesting.

I'm running Kubuntu 14.04 LTS with Chrome Version 61.0.3163.91 (Official Build) (64-bit). I just tried TVNZ On Demand and an iZombie episode played without problems here.

Maybe something specific with Mint?

1439633 2017-09-23 05:15:00 A simple thing to check might be: chrome://settings/content/protectedContent

Make sure that setting is turned on.

1439634 2017-09-24 00:52:00 Problem solved! Firefox version 50 + has an activate DRM box in preferences/content.
TVNZ works fine with this box ticked.

Chrome works through a plugin which is often missing. In order to work there will be 9 plugins (see chrome://components) they are:-

Subresource Filter Rules - Version: 7.54
CRLSet - Version: 3992
pnacl - Version: 0.57.44.2492
File Type Policies - Version: 13
Origin Trials - Version: 0.0.0.0
Adobe Flash Player - Version: 27.0.0.130
recovery - Version: 0.0.0.0
EV Certs CT whitelist - Version: 7
Signed Tree Heads - Version: 518

I have no idea which plugins are responsible for DRM?
