1439529 2017-09-21 10:17:00 There I was. Indulging in some YouTube time tonight. Viewing Stephen Fry, a man of incredible intelligence, speaking for the "against" in a debate on whether the Catholic Church is good or bad for the world. That is probably irrelevant as my rant is about the appearance half way through the 15 minute clip by Jacinda waffling on about the upcoming election.

A politician on a program interfering with my viewing of a man, whose intellect is probably higher than the combined IQ of all the 120 or so politicians who have warmed their backsides on parliamentary seats for the last three years. How crass this is!!!
Not because it was her. Bill or Winston would have been just as bad. Some of the other "leaders" would have made it almost unbearable. Damn their impertinence. :(

I think I am going to need some counselling after having political ads, media election hype . . . yeah, nah . . . etc bombarding me from every direction . I suppose it depends on who wins as to whether the taxpayer pays for it or I do . I voted last week so no amount of invasive advertising and "discussions" from those who wear their political views on their sleeves is going to sway me . :banana

1439531 2017-09-21 20:40:00 My most exciting moment was when I had a phone call from Bill English last night at 5.30pm. I hung up on him... :) R.M. (561)
1439532 2017-09-21 21:32:00 Voted yesterday, tv isn't set up and hasn't been for 3 months so have seen virtually no advertising this time around, we don't have a landline so no calls either gary67 (56)

Well Ken, the solution is in your hands, pay for your content with Youtube, and the ads will magically disappear.

Ive been tempted , but at $12.99 a month, are they insane. ?
Would rather get netflix .

on the red product page above, very little substance as to what you actually get. No mention on the actual exclusive Red shows , they must be pretty bad if
they wont list them . Although the J.Clarkson& Co car show is good, cant think of any others .

I dont watch much TV now , so luckily Ive been spared from the awefull political ads . Bring back the dancing Cossacks :)
Also havnt seen as many ugly billboards as there was in previous elections either

Perhaps the way to go would be only to show ads & debates from previous elections, so we can see what was promised & (not) delivered
