1439149 2017-09-14 02:41:00 Every so often I have a small window open entitled "Live Updater. The new version is ready to be installed. Install updates."

I have no idea what Live Updater is and because of that I do not click on "Install updates".

Does anyone know what it is and should I "Install updates"?

They have a live updater.

1439151 2017-09-14 03:21:00 Probably Acer as mentioned, probably nothing to worry about, but you could have a look and see what it's actually trying to install. Occasionally it's something important haha. wratterus (105)

Yes, it is an Acer. Does that mean that I should activate the installer?

1439153 2017-09-14 07:44:00 Up to you really, it may be important, it may not.
Impossible to determine from here, I'm afraid.
If you don't want the thing annoying you, it could be disabled in Msconfig.
If you are going to activate it, make a restore point first, just in case it turns to custard.

1439154 2017-09-14 07:50:00 If you use the updater, be very careful to what it wants to install. Had one today, looked at it and there were several driver updates as well as a BIOS all at the same time ------What could possibly go wrong ;) wainuitech (129)
