I have an HP Pavilion 17-g121wm Notebook PC P, approx 18 month old and had the odd problems.Last time I emailed my computer guy and he said remove the battery and ho;d power button for a while.
I turned it over and can see no battery.

just to vague to give any sort of usefull reply. :-)
What odd problems ?

Its the usual IT generic answer of "turn it off and back on again"
If its a non removable batt, then just hold down power key for 5-10 secs

1438829 2017-09-07 00:15:00 If the battery is not a removable one there may be a reset slot that you can insert a paper clip into, which will disconnect the battery. CYaBro (73)

I did try that and all I got was sales and spec's.

Had a look underside and nothing there, but a few holes on side, but no idea what they are and paperclip might stuff it totally.

It should have a little battery symbol next to it.

First photo shows battery removal, there will be one or two sliding catches once they are slid
the battery will pop out enough to remove.

Dont have a black cover and all it has is screws all around sides.
