High inflation , balance of payment issues (hence the Carfree days scam) , inefficient industries propped up with tarrifs and subsidies . Communist Unions hell bent on causing trouble, rather than look after workers interests No real economic freedom with so many govt owned business's & services given monopolies , shutting out any competition. Labour got a very bad rap for actually trying to fix things after Muldoon , rather than defer the issues or carry on as is. He was causing the failing economy - with his fixed exchange rate, price freezes, wage freezes, etc. Definitely agree that the Labour govt actually tried to fix things - and for the most part, I'd say they got it bang on. |

He has another option but wants a landline. Best thing he could do is rent or buy a house right near a hospital and never leave home. |

Guess it's a good thing you weren't Jacinda then, you'd have just given away the job of PM when did you didn't need to. |

Doesn't matter what anyone thinks, it takes approval from all the parties, Lab/NZF/Greens, they all have to vote, nut out any forthcoming actions, then passed etc, a full Process. As for Nat losing- well they were there for 3 terms, 9 years and as one comment on "Stuff" You had 9 years and achieved loads - worst housing crisis, worse suicide rate, largest gap between rich and poor, highest immigration. Hey you should be proud! Very predicted, why else would Key have run from the sinking ship that he pulled the plug on? So now there's a change, lets see how things develop. There is NO MAGIC fix or changes that happen by snapping our fingers. Many people wanted a change, they have it. If more people wanted to carry on down the current path Nat would have won like last time. People Voted for MMP - thats what we got. MANY dont get how it works. Its NOT FPTP. |
