1438856	2017-09-07 23:12:00	OK posted while I did :) Check on the updates manually as well, they sometimes can take a while and slow thing s down, esp if the computer is not on a lot /or for a reasonable time. Eg: these go on at 7am - off at 10.30-11 PM. Scan my memory and this is result. Does it help? 1438857	2017-09-08 00:36:00	Following up what Wainui said, you really do have to uninstall macafee and run task manager and click Startup. There will be heaps of progs enabled under startup. The vast majority should be disabled (stopped from starting). Make sure Windows Defender is enabled, though. Ask if you are not sure. Can't do any harm as you can always re-enable them if necessary. But, honestly, every one of these proprietery comps need about 15 progs uninstalled. I still can't figure why these manufacturers strive so hard to make their comps run like crap. I use ADWCleaner from time to time and doesn't find much. I also use Comodo Internet Security that we used since XP days and thats good. I think the combination of Malwarebytes and Comodo is good. I also use Comodo Internet Security that we used since XP days and thats good. I think the combination of Malwarebytes and Comodo is good. Both say they block the dreaded ransomware :( That WONT be helping one little bit, In bold Both have active protection (or meant to) and so you will have a conflict of interest going on, both trying to "sort" one another out. You are not meant to have more than one "active Protection" program running at the same time. Sure some do play nice with one another, but also seen countless times where they both end up killing each other off as they think the other is an infection, and you end up with nothing. Picture a punch-up going on in your PC. When presented with a Slow PC (like yours) and everything else is OK, the first thing I do is remove ALL third party protection - 99% of the time problem sorted. Then put back only 1, the one that is the better of the lot removed ( if paid software). If it were me -- I'd uninstall Comodo, and leave just Malwarebytes as it now contains antivirus as well. With 8GB of memory, unless the CPU is small for some reason, then it really shouldn't be slow, something is running that's causing it. As a test, restart in a safe mode -- I bet it will be a lot quicker. ;) Neither comodo or Malwarebytes will be running. support.microsoft.com	wainuitech (129)

I dont trust MS antivirus????? Malwarebytes 3 claims it has active protection which acts like a antivirus, as well as malware/ransom ware etc. 8264 Personally I wouldn't trust it. Done scans on PC's that had Malwarebytes and found infections of various types. As mentioned /suggested above, start in safe mode, the Laptop should start and run better. If it does, then some program you have installed is causing the problem.	wainuitech (129)
1438864	2017-09-08 06:46:00	A good combination for Malwarebytes is Eset Nod32 though it's paid The latest Malwarebytes build(3.2.2.2018) is hell of a lot better at startup than previous builds so make sure you have that if yours has not updated forums.malwarebytes.com	Lawrence (2987)
